Getting Started
How does the process work?

We start with a free 30-minute discovery call to understand your business, goals, and timeline. Then we send a proposal. Once you approve and pay your deposit, we get to work. You'll get a design draft within 3–5 business days, followed by 2 rounds of revisions. Most sites launch within 10 business days of receiving all content.

Do I need to have content and photos ready?

Not necessarily. We include copywriting for up to 5 pages in our Growth and Premium packages. If you have photos, great — send them over. If not, we use high-quality stock photography that suits your industry. Professional photography can also be arranged at an additional cost.

What do you need from me to get started?

We'll need some basic info about your business, your brand assets (logo if you have one), any existing content you want to keep, and access to your domain if you already own one. We'll guide you through everything on our onboarding call — it's a simple process.

How long does it take to build a website?

Our standard build time is 10 business days from the time we receive all required content and your design approval. Rush jobs — 5 business days — are available for a 30% surcharge, subject to availability.

Do you work with businesses outside Australia?

Our primary focus is Australian small businesses, but we occasionally take on international projects. All work is done remotely, so location is never a barrier. Contact us to discuss your needs and we'll let you know if we're a good fit.

What if I'm not happy with the design?

All packages include at least 2 rounds of revisions. We work closely with you throughout the process — sharing mood boards and style references early — to make sure the final product is exactly what you envisioned. In our 7 years of operation, we've never had a client leave unhappy.

Pricing & Payment
What's included in each package?

Full details are on our Pricing page. In short: Landing Page ($1,499) is a 1-page lead-generation site live within 48 hours. Starter ($2,499) is a 5-page site for new businesses, live within 72 hours. Growth ($4,200) adds copywriting, a blog, and up to 10 pages. Premium ($6,800) includes everything plus custom animations and booking integrations. Enterprise is custom-scoped for complex projects.

Do I pay the full amount upfront?

We require a 50% deposit to begin work. The remaining 50% is due on launch day, before we hand over access to your site. For Enterprise projects we can structure milestone-based payments — contact us to discuss.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) via Stripe, direct bank transfer, and PayPal. Deposit payment links are available directly on our Pricing page.

Are there any ongoing costs?

Domain registration (~$20/year for .com.au) and hosting ($30–$60/month) are separate costs. These are either managed through your own accounts or included in a Care Plan. There are no hidden fees or surprise charges.

Can I upgrade my package later?

Yes. If you start on the Starter package and want to add more pages, a blog, or other features later, we can quote for those additions. Many of our clients start small and grow with us over time.

Do you offer payment plans?

For projects over $4,000 we can arrange milestone-based payment schedules — typically 25% deposit, 50% at design sign-off, and 25% on launch. Contact us to discuss your situation.

What happened to the Starter package?

We've restructured our packages to better reflect what clients actually need. The old "Starter" 1-page package has been renamed to Landing Page ($1,499) — it now includes a lead capture form, Calendly booking integration, and goes live within 48 hours. The old "Basic" 5-page package is now simply called Starter ($2,499), with improved features including contact + lead capture forms and 12 months free hosting included. All other packages (Growth, Premium, Enterprise) remain unchanged.

Design & Build Process
Do you use templates or custom designs?

Every Zylo website is custom-designed from scratch. We don't use Squarespace, Wix, or generic WordPress templates. Your site is completely unique to your business — designed to reflect your brand and convert your specific customers.

Will my website work on mobile and tablet?

Absolutely. Every site we build is fully responsive — it looks great and functions perfectly on any device, from a 4K monitor to an iPhone SE. Mobile performance is one of our top priorities, and we test every site on multiple devices before launch.

Who writes the content for my website?

Growth and Premium packages include professional copywriting. Our writers research your industry and competitors, then craft compelling, SEO-optimised copy tuned to your ideal customer. For Starter packages you supply the content, but copywriting can always be added as an extra from $180/page.

What platform do you build on?

We primarily build on WordPress with a custom theme for maximum flexibility, SEO performance, and long-term maintainability. For e-commerce projects we use WooCommerce or Shopify depending on your requirements. We always recommend the right tool for your specific situation.

Can I edit the website myself after it's built?

Yes. We build every site with a user-friendly admin panel so you can update text, images, and blog posts yourself without any coding knowledge. We also include a 30-minute training session on launch day so you feel confident managing your site.

Can I see your portfolio before committing?

Of course. Visit our Portfolio page to see case studies from tradies, health professionals, hospitality businesses and more. We can also share additional examples relevant to your industry during a discovery call.

Hosting & Domain
Do you provide hosting?

We can manage your hosting through our preferred providers (Kinsta or SiteGround) as part of a Care Plan, or we can set you up with your own hosting account that you fully control. Either way, your site runs on fast, Australian-based servers.

What about domain names?

If you already own a domain, we'll connect it to your new site. If you need one, we can register it for you through Crazy Domains or Namecheap — typically around $20/year for a .com.au domain.

Is the hosting fast and reliable?

Yes. We use Australian-based servers for all local clients to ensure the fastest load times for your visitors. Our sites consistently score 90+ on Google PageSpeed Insights, and we monitor uptime 24/7 for Care Plan clients.

Do you handle SSL certificates?

Yes. Every site we build includes a free SSL certificate (the padlock you see in your browser's address bar). SSL is essential for user trust, security, and Google search rankings — we handle it automatically at no extra cost.

What happens to my site if I cancel a Care Plan?

Your website is 100% yours to keep. If you cancel a Care Plan, your site stays live — you'll just need to manage hosting, plugin updates, and backups yourself, or transfer those responsibilities to another provider. We'll provide a full handover document.

Ongoing Support
What is a Care Plan?

A Care Plan is our monthly website maintenance service. It includes regular backups, security monitoring, plugin and theme updates, uptime monitoring, speed optimisation, and a set number of content change requests each month. Plans start from $149/month — see our Pricing page for full details.

What's included in the post-launch support period?

For the first 30 days after launch (60 days for Growth, 90 days for Premium), we fix any bugs, display issues, or technical problems at no extra charge. We're also available by email to answer questions. This support period is included in every package at no additional cost.

Can I contact you after the support period ends?

Absolutely. We're always happy to help existing clients. Ad-hoc support is billed at $120/hour (minimum 1 hour), or you can join a Care Plan for ongoing priority support with predictable monthly pricing.

Do you offer SEO services after launch?

Yes. Our SEO Care Plans start at $299/month and include keyword rank tracking, monthly reporting, Google Business Profile optimisation, local citation building, and on-page SEO updates. We focus on ranking you in your local area for the search terms your customers actually use.

Can you run Google Ads for my business?

Yes. Our Google Ads management service starts at $500/month (management fee — ad spend is separate and billed directly by Google). We set up, manage, and continuously optimise your campaigns, with weekly performance reports and transparent access to your account at all times.

Do you offer training so I can manage the site myself?

Yes. Every site launch includes a 30-minute video call walkthrough of your website admin panel. Premium and Enterprise clients receive a full recorded training session covering all major features. Additional training sessions are available at $120/hour if needed.

SEO Services
What do your SEO packages include?

Our SEO packages range from $599/mo (SEO Starter) to $1,999/mo (SEO Premium). All plans include a free initial SEO audit, on-page optimisation, Google Business Profile management, local citation building, and monthly ranking reports. Higher tiers add backlink building campaigns, blog content, competitor tracking, and more. See our Pricing page for full details.

How long does SEO take to show results?

SEO is a long-term strategy. Most clients start seeing meaningful ranking improvements within 60–90 days, with stronger results building over 6–12 months. We focus on local SEO for the Illawarra region, which typically shows faster results than broad national campaigns. We track and report your rankings every month so you can see the progress.

Do I need a website built by you to use your SEO services?

No — we can provide SEO services for any website, regardless of who built it. We'll start with a free audit of your existing site to identify opportunities and create a tailored SEO strategy. Some technical fixes may require access to your site's backend, which we'll walk you through.

Is there a lock-in contract for SEO packages?

No lock-in contracts. All SEO packages are month-to-month and you can cancel anytime. We recommend a minimum of 3 months to see meaningful results, but we never trap you in a long-term agreement. Our work speaks for itself.
